Service Tip #1 – Engine oil is a major factor in the performance and service life of the engine. Always use the proper grade of oil for the lowest temperature.

Service Tip #2 – Check your oil on your motorcycle while the engine is warm. Engine oil cannot be properly checked while the engine is cold. Perform Oil Level Hot Check as follows. Ride the motorcycle until the engine is at normal operating temperature. With the vehicle resting on the jiffy stand on level ground, allow the engine to idle for 1-2 minutes. Remove and wipe off the dipstick. Insert it back with the plug pushed completely into the fill spout.Remove the dipstick and note the level of the oil. Add only enough oil to bring the level to the full mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill. Start engine and carefully check for oil leaks around the drain plug and oil filter.
Excessive Motorcycle Noise Campaign

There is a growing uproar from the general public about excessive motorcycle noise.

When it gets here, it will be on us like fresh asphalt on a new paint job, unless we do something about it now.

That's why we are kicking off a campaign to give you more information about motorcycle noise. We don't want you to get caught off guard. And together maybe we can get ahead of this thing. So next time you're in the dealership, all of us here will be happy to share what we know and what we are hearing about motorcycle noise around the country and in our own backyard.

We all know that there are people out there that just don't like motorcycles. And never will. So let's not hand them a loaded gun to shoot down the sport we love.

Maybe we won't have to give up a thing, if we take control and lighten up on the noise on our own.
